A truth hidden in history...Veer Savarkar ji.

Click to read in hindi language.

45-year-old Mahatma Gandhi returns to India in 1915, after spending more than two decades in South Africa. Four years before this, a 28-year-old youth is imprisoned in a dungeon in Andaman. The British make him work as a bullock in a mill all day long to extract oil, make ropes and pound peels. He is educating all the prisoners, strengthening the feelings of patriotism in them and at the same time creating literature by nailing the walls, thorns and nails. His name was Vinayak Damodar Savarkar.

Many times he used to get the thoughts of suicide. He used to keep staring at the window from where other prisoners had committed suicide earlier. The pain was becoming unbearable. The torture was crossing its limits. Darkness had engulfed not only those cells but also the heart and mind. Keep rotating the oil press instead of an ox all day long, keep turning sides at night. 11 years passed like this. The prisoners respected him so much that even after his refusal, they used to wash his utensils, clothes etc., help him in his work. The British tried to keep other prisoners away from Savarkar. Finally, when wisdom prevailed, he dissuaded other prisoners from committing suicide.

But no, the great idiots say that Savarkar wrote a mercy petition, said sorry and apologized.

Hey fools, revolutionary Ramprasad Bismil who was involved in Kakori incident had also apologized, so? Will you call him a coward too? Tell me. He had also apologized to the British. Will revolutionaries be judged on this criterion now? When a lion takes a big leap, it always takes a few steps back. What was in his mind at that time, what was his future plan - today some people sitting in their homes know all this.

Who is that freedom fighter who was sentenced to 11 years of Kalapani? Nehru? Gandhi? .....Who?

Many heroes like Nanasaheb Peshwa, Maharani Lakshmibai and Veer Kunwar Singh were buried in history. 1857 was called a Sepoy Mutiny. Then, to expose this, a 20-22 year old youth somehow got access to a library in London and worked day and night to read one British document after another to get to the bottom of the truth, which was hidden from the Indians. He proved that it was not a Sepoy Mutiny but the First War of Independence. He brought the story of all its immortal martyrs to the masses. Revolutionaries like Bhagat Singh together read and translated it.

Which book in the world was banned even before its publication? The British were so scared of it that every possible arrangement was made to ensure that the book did not reach India. When it somehow reached, it was fuelled by the fire of revolution. Savarkar fought the British with both his pen and mind. Savarkar worked for the upliftment of Dalits. Savarkar was imprisoned for 11 years. Savarkar revived Hinduism and ignited the spirit of nationalism. Savarkar was a warrior adept in the genre of literature.

What did they get after independence? Insults People like Nehru and Maulana Abul Kalam enjoyed the power. Savarkar was implicated in the Gandhi murder case. He was arrested. He was not even given a pension. He was tortured. In the 60s, he was again arrested and banned. He was forbidden from attending public meetings. All this happened in the same India for whose independence he had spent his life. The freedom of a freedom-loving person was snatched away in the same country for which he had contributed to get freedom. When Shastri ji became PM, he arranged for a pension.

He used to explain to the prisoners in Kalapani that have patience, a day will come when this place will become a pilgrimage place. Today, even though we are being made fun of all over the world, there will be a time when people will say that look, Indian prisoners were locked up in these dungeons. Savarkar used to say that then there will be statues of those prisoners here.

Today, if you go to Andaman, you land directly at 'Veer Savarkar International Airport'. His statue is installed in the Cellular Jail. The Prime Minister also goes to the room where Veer Savarkar was kept and meditates.

Salute to Veer Savarkar ji
