Uttarakhand is Devbhoomi, my personal favourite, my most wonderful state, a place where you feel divinity. But now people have ruined it. Be it Haridwar or Rishikesh. You can see how uncontrollable the crowd is. And it has to be controlled.

But there is a big danger, too much construction, too much urbanization in Uttarakhand. You saw the condition of Joshimath and Uttarakhand is in a lot of danger. Because there is a big danger of glacier here. Which is looming over Uttarakhand.

Monsoon has come, Delhi has drowned, Shimla has drowned.

Think about the first rain. What was the condition of Shimla last time due to monsoon. Do you remember what was the condition of Himachal. I went to Shimla at this time.

Last year also I had a train on 9th June. From Shimla back to Kalka, and on 10th June there was a big land side. The toy train stopped. So the problem is that there can be heavy rain. And it will happen. The rain that will happen in Uttarakhand is a big danger.

Now let's talk about the danger of glacier burst. So the monsoon has arrived. Now the USDM here i.e. Uttarakhand State Disaster Management Department has said something. There are 13 glacier lakes here. But out of them there are 5 such lakes which are very dangerous.

Uttarakhand to study threat posed by 13 glacial lakes during monsoon

The aim of the study is to provide data to help avoid disasters like floods caused by glacial lake outbursts.

So the coming time or rather the coming month can prove to be very dangerous for Uttarakhand. Anyway, do not go to the mountains in the rain. Try to go out for a little walk before the monsoon starts. Still, if you want to enjoy the rain, then of course you should go. But to a place like Mumbai where the risk of monsoon is a little less. And enjoy the whole way to come here. There is Kasara Ghat here. Take a very beautiful train or roam the whole place. But for now do not go to Uttarakhand or Himachal. This would be my advice to you. The study says that the data has been given so that we can work on future disasters. Ranjit Sinha says that look brother, the new lake we have identified is in danger right now. Along with this, the glaciers of the Himalayas are already in danger due to climate change and if we do not stop then the situation will get very bad.

With the onset of the monsoon season, the Uttarakhand State Disaster Management Department (USDMA) is going to study the vulnerability of 13 glacial lakes from the coming month, five of which are in the “high-risk zone”. The aim of this study is to provide data to help avoid disasters like lake burst.

We are talking about 13 glaciers here. Of the 13 lakes, the high-risk lakes are in Darma, Lasaryanghati and Kutiangti valley in Pithoragarh district, and Vasudhara Tal lake of Dhauli Ganga basin in Chamoli district are in the high-risk zone. These lakes are between 0.02 to 0.50 square kilometres, located at an altitude of more than 4,000 metres above sea level.

Uttarakhand which is our very important state, one of the most important states, Uttarakhand, Queen of Hills, Uttarakhand, Land of Gods, Uttarakhand, so you will get to see something like this, see where is it, okay, Tehri, from Tehri we will go to Mussoorie, Dhanaulti is 40 kilometers from Mussoorie, there is Surkanda Devi temple, go there and have darshan and after that, Tehri is 50 kilometers away, near Tehri you will find a very beautiful lake, so you will find a lake there, okay, Chamoli, okay, Vishnu Ganga here again a Chamoli Vasundhara Vasudev Dhartal, then unlimited in Pithoragarh, Gori Gangaur in Pithoragarh, in Pithoragarh you will get to see more songs, okay, right?

For example, this is a glacier. Now, suppose water is seeping from the glacier and slowly flowing, then a lake is being formed. This glacier is very big, slowly a lot of water is falling down, so a lake has formed here. Now the pebbles here act as a barrier and people are living here from a height, so the water of the glacier melts and comes here.

If there are a lot of pebbles as a natural barrier, then it is called a terminal. Which stops this water, but when the water becomes too much, then this barrier breaks, then all the water comes down, this is called a glacier lake burst.

So much water comes that the game is over, now there is going to be a lot of rain in the monsoon. So there is danger in these lakes.

And these five lakes that you are seeing, understand that they are at a very high risk. That is why it is said that you should do something about it.

And if you look at these glacier lakes gradually, people live here. So these are in danger, so we will slowly extract water from those glaciers. We will do something or the other. Or you will install pipes. We will extract water from those glacier lakes. We will give you an indication of disaster. Otherwise we cannot wait like this, so it has been told that according to this we will puncture here and then extract water by inserting pipes. So that the situation can improve.

Two expert teams were formed in March. One was a team from Hyderabad, one was a team from Dehradun. And they understood the threat.

Before this, you will remember when the first glacial lake burst incident happened, a whole film has been made on it. Sushant Singh Rajput's film, The Kedarnath. In 2013, there was a glacial lake burst incident in Kedarnath in which 6000 people died, then in 2021 it happened in which 72 people lost their lives. And it can happen more in the coming years

The monsoon has become a little more dangerous. See, where it is raining, it is raining a lot and where it is not raining, it is not
